The Role: MQ Administrator


The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. The technology landscape includes high-performance, high-volume applications as well as compute intensive applications, leveraging contemporary microservices, cloud-based architectures.

Our services are vital to automated trade processing around the globe, managing peak volumes and working with our customers and regulators to ensure the efficient settlement of trades and effective operation of global capital markets

Responsibilities:


● Strong Experience administering, migrating, installing, upgrading, and configuring IBM MQ.


● Support IBM MQ on Linux servers/Windows OS.


● Provide build support including troubleshooting, timely resolution, and root cause analysis.


● Support Incident, problem and change management tasks. Implement change requests based on CM processes.


● Support Client related MQ requests efficiently


● Operational Support – Flexible to provide on-call support when required on weekends and holidays


What We’re Looking For:


● Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.


● Minimum 5+ years of Industry experience in IBM MQ Administration and Build.


● Design, Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure in collaboration with Developments teams


● Good Experience in MQ troubleshooting


● Hands-on experience with creating and setting up MQ Qmgrs in the AWS environment.
● Plan, test, and implement MQ version updates as well as patching activities in the underlying operating system.


● Experience with management of SSL, TLS, data encryption, and certificates.


● Experience in setting up Multi-Instance/RDQM/Native HA set up in MQ.


● Knowledge of integration protocols and standards, including Message Queuing (MQ, JMS), and File Transfer (FTP/SFTP}


● Queue manager cluster setup for workload management


● Experience in web Methods security management such as certificate management, authentication, and authorization


● Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) would be an added advantage.


● Experience in Windows Server Clusters/Linux OS.


● Knowledge of Configuring MQ Monitoring Tools - like Grafana/ITAM will be an added advantage.
