Middleware Administrator (IBM MQ, WebLogic) - Bangalore - 4+ yrs

What you will be doing
- Installing, configuring, implementing and maintaining middleware and midrange systems
- Working on large, complex systems that require skill in multiple technical environments
- Monitoring usage and tuning systems for optimum performance
- Providing technical analysis, problem resolution and proposing solutions
- Research, evaluate and recommend software products
- Identify and automate manual tasks using scripting or application development
- Implement system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system
- Maintaining a stable and secure systems environment
- Management of SSL/TLS Certificates associated with a Certificate Authority.
- Assist in deployment of releases
- Out of hours work may be required for changes/upgrades and for being part of an on-call rotation to take escalations from the Level 1 on call team.
- Other related duties assigned as needed
What you bring:
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience on Middleware Administration
- Proven IBM MQ experience with configuring, maintaining and securing queue managers
- Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, including performing Fix Pack upgrades, performance tuning and application deployments in a clustered environment
- Ability to write scripts to perform WebSphere configuration updates
- Knowledge of Kafka fundamentals, preferably confluent Kafka in a High Availability architecture
- Knowledge of Automation and scripting using shell scripts
- Very good networking fundamental knowledge
- Knowledge working and/or developing operational dashboards in Splunk or other dashboarding tools
- Prior experience leveraging monitoring tools and working to support a 24/7 application
- Planning for system patching, code deployments in production environments, and facilitating Kafka platform and application upgrades
- Experience with problem resolution and customer management
- Working knowledge on VMWare
- Management of SSL/TLS Certificates. Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) and experience with certificate life cycle management, such as KeyFactor
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, network monitoring tools and technical writing principles and practices
- IT security conceptual knowledge and hands on experience with remediating vulnerabilities
- Effective analytical, problem solving, installation and maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
