The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Developer with a minimum of five years of hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server SSIS and SSRS. As a Database Developer, he/she will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and database architecture for our organization




How you’ll spend your day
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical specifications for ETL processes and reports.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract data from various sources, transform it into the desired format, and load it into target databases.
  • Design, create, and manage Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
  • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity by fine-tuning queries, creating indexes, and monitoring database health.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Continuously enhance and maintain existing ETL workflows, reports, and data models to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance and data quality initiatives to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and provide production support of existing processes. 
  • Provide regular project updates to business analysts and management.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to ETL, data warehousing, and reporting.


Your experience and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 7+ years relevant development experience.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience as a SQL Server Database Developer, specializing in ETL processes and database architecture using Microsoft SQL Server SSIS and SSRS.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting and experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design principles.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and handle data integration challenges effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Willing to work US hours on as needed basis for critical meetings
  • Minimal travel (less than 10%)


Skills and Capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience of project estimation and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Commercial pharmaceuticals industry experience and knowledge a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and applications.
  • SQL Development skills (Required).
  • Vertica database skills (Preferred).
  • Informatica Power Center and MDM (Preferred).
  • Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server experience (Optional).
  • RPA Automation (Optional).
  • Familiarity or experience with Salesforce or Veeva CRM (Optional).
  • Use of Pragmatic Works Task Factory (Optional).
  • Fluent English – reading, writing, speaking
