Merchant Business Analyst provides the intelligence for the commercial merchant units team to perform more efficiently on the field. He/she has access to company databases, and provides the teams and the management with timely reports and analyses to guide decision making.
• Analyses merchant volumes, defines local criteria for active/inactive points, identifies upgrades, down traders, alerting the commercial team
• Publishes periodical reports on key sales metrics for the merchant business, including trends in reimbursement volume, acquisition, renewals, upselling, cross selling and merchants at risk
• Analyses, manages and delivers data & information that allows marketing and merchant teams identifying new opportunities for development / capture of new businesses, focusing on types of merchants, segments, competitors etc.
• Reports target achievement for the merchant sales team, finalizes periodical variable compensation pay out for the team
• Develops a methodology and framework to manage ad-hoc merchant data use cases, requested by the merchant account team to secure retention, increase profitability etc.
• Works with marketing teams to identify prioritized data use-cases, builds a plan for the collection / updating of these data
• Regularly measures affiliation coverage compared to ambitions, develops a framework to measure sufficiency of network
• Compiles and analyses data over time to forecast reimbursement and selling trends for the merchants
• Reports and analyses merchant loss reasons, alerts team on avoidable losses
• Researches on the network coverage of competitors using external data sources

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• CRM software (Sales force)
• Knowledge of the industry or market in which he or she is conducting analyses.
• Power BI (or similar analysis and reporting tool)
• Knowledge of Confluence or other knowledge data base/ process management tool in use
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Work Experience Requirements:
• Min 3 years of work experience
• Prior Exposure to complex data systems, BI tools, reporting tools
