About the role


Entry-level General Engineering professional who manages small projects, collects data, performs engineering activities and general engineering analysis. As part of Carrier’s product sustainability analytics team, you would be responsible for gathering data required for scope-3 emission calculations. You will be a go getter and collaborate with various stake holders across the globe as databases assurance ready databases be built. You are also expected create and improve processes that can be repeated consistently for increasing team efficiency.


Role Purpose:


 Engineering data analyst supports the global sustainability engineering team for product sustainability reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems to accurately calculate and analyze the environmental impact of Carrier’s product portfolio. The analyst will work closely with Carrier’s Corporate Sustainability team to ensure the accuracy of publicly disclosed sustainability data..


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plans, prioritizes, and manages small engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
  • Collects data, performs analysis and reviews for conformance analysis.
  • Conducts engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
  • Classifies findings and identifies cross-functional internal resources for guidance and direction on findings and complex problems.
  • Performs engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline.
 Required Skills:
  • 2–3-year work experience in HVAC product or project engineering roles.
  • Strong HVAC/R domain knowledge is a must. An understanding of HVAC product life cycle is a plus.
  • Advanced analytical skills in Excel, VBA. Python & basic data analysis skills are a plus.
  • Great written and oral communicator

Requirements


Requires theoretical knowledge obtained through a University degree
Limited to some knowledge of Carrier organization
University Degree or equivalent
Less than 3 years prior relevant experience


EDUCATION PREFERRED:


Bachelor’s or above in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar
