Job Description
- Develop, manage, and update BIM models for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM execution plans and company standards.
- Perform clash detection and resolution using software such as Navisworks, Revit, or BIM 360.
- Coordinate with other trades (architectural, structural, electrical, etc.) to resolve design conflicts and ensure integration.
- Provide training and support to junior BIM modelers and engineers on BIM workflows and software tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical BIM coordination, preferably in construction or MEP industries.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Experience in clash detection, coordination, and resolution.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Dynamo, scripting, or automation in BIM workflows.
- Familiarity with fabrication modelling and detailing.
- Knowledge of COBie, IFC, and other BIM interoperability standards.
- Certification in BIM or Revit (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
Additional Information
- Ability to work using modeling software’s such as ( Revit , AutoCAD , Plant 3D )
- Ability to use clash detection software’s such as Navisworks
- Have strong engineering background in both mechanical and electrical field
- Have fair knowledge on the MEP & HVAC system components and uses
- Ability to use Microsoft office applications
