Role Summary:
Co-ordinate with Buyer and Production Team for on time material availability.
Establish working rhythm with Master Scheduler, Purchase leader and Production Manager to ensure daily fulfillment and "Zero Hour Loss" on Shop
Establish and improve MOQ definitions, Safety Stock levels and Kanban methodologies in partnership with Master Scheduler
Drive RCA investigation and resolution
Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues
Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
Provide supply analysis data and implement recommendations. Provide fulfillment update for Sourcing reviews
Drive Engineering Changes process implementation with Master Scheduler and Purchasing
Resolve MRP exceptions, Purchase Req./ PO Exceptions with IT for establishing processes
Cross functional coordination
Managing entire cycle and will work in tandem with Engineering, Shop, MMI, Process specialists, Quality (Shop + Supplier), Purchase & Logistics teams for timely supplies.
Close coordination with other functions to manage timely inspections, NCMR resolution.
Engaging right people (PQ/Process specialists etc) for first product development in coordination with Sourcing & SQE.
Attending all daily shop/ material review meetings and manage exigencies in line with shop requirements.
Required Essential Skills
Basic commercial awareness.
knowledge on planning and scheduling associated with the production.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Good communication & presentation skills.
Working knowledge in ERP environment (Oracle desirable).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Data Analytical Skills.
Knowledge of reading of engineering drawings/ specs & manufacturing processes

Education & Working Experience
B.E./B.Tech from any reputed institute. Masters in Materials Mgmt. will be preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience. Out of which 1 to 2 years in Automotive industry is preferable.
