Key Network & Links :


INTERNAL – Planning, Production, Procurement, Quality, SDPM ,PRSCL, Engineering, Finance, Regional SCM teams, Taxation, Logistics


EXTERNAL – Suppliers, Freight Forwarder, CHA, Transporters Customs and other Consultants if any


Performance Measurement :


  • Apply core model process for material planning activities (external & internal suppliers) and maintainence of master data


  • Manage Supplier's performances KPI's & Raw material coverage & Value according to Budgets


  • Collaborate with Procurement for risk/impact management process including supplier selection


  • Lead the supplier escalation process supporting Material Planners on animation of Supplier’s KPI performance


  • To achieve Freight cost spend within Target & zero demurrage


  • To arrive at cost effective logistics solution for Domestic, imports and exports.


  • Maintain the documentation and retrieval of benefits from Customs (Duty Drawback/Project registration/Advance Licence, etc.)


  • Ensure on-time payment to suppliers


  • Compliance to APSYS, IRIS & E&C


Responsibilities :


  • Ensure the accuracy of material planning master data (in compliance with stock, logistic constraints and supplier contractual agreements)


  • Ensure the creation of Material Planning documents in line with Procure to Pay core model processes


  • Organize and maintain regular reviews with Material Planners to Monitor supplier & stock performance


  • Ensure the MRP exception messages analyses performed by all Material Planners and anticipate supply problems (backlogs, shortages, no demand…)


  • Support Material Planners when issues identified and evaluate the risk/impact on production/projects


  • Supporting Material Planners in applying and follow the missing parts process application until stock availability


  • Validate deliveries performances KPI's with different stakeholders (Internal & External) and action plans


  • Validate the top worst Suppliers with SDPM and support appropriate action plan


  • Ensure application of appropriate communication routine with Suppliers based on their delivery performances by Material Planners


  • Ensure the application (when necessary) of Supplier's Light Capability Assessment (LSCA)


  • Contribute to risk/impact assessments and mitigation action plan


  • To Co-ordinate and follow up with freight forwarder for timely execution of inbound & outbound flows


  • Handling of import /Export documentation. Duty checklist/Shipping bill, Technical write ups, BOE etc.


  • On time duty payments to Customs and freight forwarders


  • Tracking of Inbound/Outbound consignments and ensure on time delivery


  • Attend customs queries on time to avoid demurrage/penalties


  • Work with External & Internal stake holders to reduce cost of Freightt


  • Handle GR Waiver and Bank Guarantee shipments and ensure on time closure.


  • To capture, record and analysis all logistics cost


  • On time submission of documents (BOE/Freight Bill/AWB/Invoice) to respective departments on time and avail the benefits from Customs.


  • Monthly review with all Freight Forwarders/CHAs/Transporters with respect their KPI and fix action plan for missing targets.


  • Ensure on time payments to vendors.


  • Manage team performance, develop team competencies & provide feedback and register during Performance Management Cycle


Knowledge & Experience


  • Experience in a manufacturing Organisation dealing with Material Planning & Logistics Operations (Imports/Exports/Domestic) , Working knowledge in ERP / SAP environment .Knowledge on International freight forwarding 


  • 15 to 18 years of experience in Logistics/Materials management activities


  • Experience in OEM / Auto / Manufacturing  / Project  base industry is preferable.


  • Exposure in ERP system and SAP is mandatory


  • Supply Chain or Project Management certification - Desirable


Qualification


  • Engineering from Reputed institution with Masters (Desirable)
