Job Description

Position Overview:


We are seeking a strategic Marketing Leader to drive the growth of our pediatric vaccine portfolio. As the Head of Marketing for Pediatric Vaccines, you will be at the forefront of shaping the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives. This role will require you to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging deep customer insights, data-driven strategies, and innovative approaches to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will lead a dynamic team, manage resource allocation, and partner with global and local teams to ensure that our pediatric vaccine offerings reach the right audiences with maximum impact.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership and Planning:


  • Develop and lead the strategic marketing direction for the pediatric vaccine portfolio, aligning with global and local business goals.
  • Build and execute the annual marketing plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market needs.
  • Lead the development of long-term brand strategies, focusing on both growth and lifecycle management of designated products.
  • Ensure the strategic alignment of marketing activities across all customer segments and internal stakeholders (R&D, sales, regulatory, etc.

Market Insight & Customer-Centric Strategy:


  • Gather and analyze customer insights (HCPs, caregivers, healthcare systems) to inform marketing strategies and product offerings.
  • Develop robust customer engagement strategies to build long-term relationships with healthcare providers (KEEs) and stakeholders.
  • Leverage data analytics and market research to track industry trends, competitor actions, and customer behavior, using these insights to drive strategic decisions.

Campaign Development & Execution:


  • Design, execute, and optimize impactful multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring a seamless customer experience across digital and offline platforms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (including sales, medical, regulatory) to develop and implement brand and campaign plans, ensuring they are integrated and deliver measurable results.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of tailored content that resonates with target customers and drives brand awareness and adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:


  • Collaborate with global teams to represent local market needs and ensure alignment with global brand strategies.
  • Work closely with sales and customer managers to identify opportunities for HCP engagement and enhance sales force effectiveness.
  • Partner with regulatory, supply chain, and medical teams to ensure smooth product launches, timely supply allocation, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry partners.

Team Leadership & Development:


  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, setting clear performance goals, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Oversee the development and execution of training programs for the sales force, enhancing their knowledge of the pediatric vaccine portfolio and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide constructive feedback and performance assessments, ensuring the team remains motivated and aligned with organizational goals.

Financial and Operational Excellence:


  • Lead the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI across all marketing initiatives.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including market share, brand performance, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and financial sustainability in all activities.

Lifecycle Management & Commercialization:


  • Manage the product lifecycle from launch to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives.
  • Lead the development of commercialization plans for new products, evaluating their market potential and implementing strategies for successful market entry.
  • Ensure the continuous optimization of marketing plans based on performance data and evolving market conditions.

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in marketing or business administration (MBA preferred)
  • 10-12 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2-3 years’ experience in  pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, and 2-3 years in people management.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and developing market strategies in the pharmaceutical or vaccine industry.
  • Experience in lifecycle management, market access, and brand strategy development for a portfolio of products.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in pediatric vaccines or vaccine marketing.
  • Expertise in multichannel marketing strategies, including digital, social, and experiential campaigns.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop actionable insights from customer data and market intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Service/customer orientation with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
