Description


As a Manufacturing Engineer - NPI the candidate will work for BCP Manufacturing Engineering team at Tiruvallur, Chennai. The incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing process planning and execution, Assisting layout design and planning, continuous improvements, process and quality control, new product design. The candidate should have the ability to lead continuous improvement and new product introduction projects.


The roles and responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer – New Product Introduction include, but are not limited to the following –


Operational Skills: -


  • Execute the layout for new product assembly process considering all technical & Ergo standards.
  • Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, and facilities
  • Coordinates the current product improvements through Engineering change process management.

Manufacturing process Skills: -


  • Develop the complete process flow for proto, pilot and production process.
  • Process control documents like SFMEA, PFD, PFMEA, CP, Work instruction
  • Deploying the Hand tools, equipment’s, special tools for assembly process execution

Lean & Continuous Improvement: -


  • Drive systematic RCCA process for Product & Process deficiency
  • Identify, plan and deploy new capital and tooling to enhance safety and process efficiency.
  • Lead projects like Safety, Process, product quality to develop sustainable results & goals.
  • Coordinates with Cross functional team for conducting the process audits and driving improvements to enhance process and product quality.

Basic Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related technical discipline


3 years overall experience in manufacturing engineering.
