What success looks like in this role:
Manual Software testing
- Understanding of SDLC & STLC – Software Development Life Cycle & Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Understanding of Agile process -
- Test Case Design & Execution – Ability to create, execute, and manage test cases.
- Defect Tracking Tools – Experience with tools like JIRA
- Basic SQL Knowledge – Ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation.
- API Testing – Familiarity with API testing using Postman (optional but beneficial).
- Mobile & Web Testing – Understanding of mobile and cross-browser testing.
- Automation Awareness – Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium is a plus but not mandatory.

- Analytical Thinking – Ability to find edge cases and think like an end user.
- Communication Skills – Ability to write clear test reports and communicate findings with developers.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers.
3. Experience & Education
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Not always mandatory, but preferred).
- Certifications (Optional but Valuable) – ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification can boost credibility.
- Relevant Work Experience – 2-4 years
4. Testing Types Knowledge
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Smoke & Sanity Testing
- Usability Testing
- Compatibility Testing
- Performance Testing (Basic understanding)
