Bank Services COE team, part of Global Treasury Operations, is responsible for collaborating with Business partners, Banks, and Regional Treasury Cash & FX Mgt teams in managing AXP’s global banking infrastructure.


The team is responsible for ensuring optimal banking infrastructure and compliance with internal Amex Policies and standards.


How will you make an impact in this role?


The position is responsible for managing AXP banking infrastructure for APAC and EMEA regions. The role is responsible for ensuring Treasury Bank Services processes are managed effectively for APAC and EMEA regions.


Responsibilities:


·Managing maintenance (opening, closing and novation) of bank accounts to support compliant and efficient collections and payments solutions for AXP businesses in APAC and EMEA regions.


·Supporting Business Units with regional (APAC and EMEA) payments and banking products’ subject matter expertise on regional projects like business driven RFPs for transactional banking services.


·Managing global banking comfort letters process, including issuance and renewal in coordination with external banks and internal teams like Secretarial and Regional Cash Mgt teams.


·Managing external banks driven KYC review of AXP legal entities in APAC and EMEA regions.


·Responsible for Treasury delegation management, including periodic renewal and amendments, for APAC and EMEA legal entities.


·Supporting Regional and local statutory audits in APAC and EMEA wherever Treasury Bank Services support is required.


·Responsible for online banking portal user access management and associated processes & controls for select identified APAC and EMEA bank portals.


·Managing bank fees sourcing and reporting for select identified APAC and EMEA bank partners.


·Lead a team of 4 colleagues and provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the team with a view to drive maximum efficiency and deliver measurable results.


·Ensure the team maintains a strong control framework in compliance with Global policies, SOX and Amex guidelines and other regulatory requirements.


·Improve, automate, and standardize Bank Services processes.


Minimum Qualifications


·Strong working knowledge of banking/payment operations with detailed understanding of transaction banking products and services including electronic money movement infrastructure and channels (ACH, Wire, Debit block, SEPA payments, Swift, Real Time Payments like FAST, NPP etc.).


·8-10 years of relevant work experience in Banks, Corporate Treasury, or similar financial industry operations.


·Post-Graduate in Finance or Economics; MBA preferred.


·Experience of managing change/consulting to clients on transforming banking operations. Experiences in rationalizing banking architectures, transactional fee saves, establishing controlled governance of online user access management and implementing virtual accounts structures will be very valuable.


·Experience of managing banking relationships at regional or global level.


·Proven ability of managing multiple projects at the same time and ability to collaborate with multiple business partners and stakeholders across geographies.


·Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate technical matters in a clear and concise manner.


·Strong Analytical skills with high degree of attention to detail.


·Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office tools (Power BI/Query, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).


Shift Timing: 11.30 am – 7.30 pm with flexibility of +/- 2 hours


Critical Factors to Success:


·Deliver key Treasury Bank Services operations goals such as rationalization of bank architecture, ensuring optimal pricing for banking infrastructure, drive compliant processes across Bank services COE


·Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with ability to connect business drivers. Demonstrate learning agility, make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity


·Lead with an external perspective, challenge status quo and bring continuous improvements in processes design and controls to mitigate risks


·Understand & leverage intelligent automation technologies to generate use cases within the team & create opportunities to support the automation team to get that implemented
