Role: Manager Traffic and Insights
Hours: Primarily Bengaluru noon to 9PM, with some rotational night shifts as needed
About the Role
The Traffic and Insights Manager will lead and support a team responsible for delivering high-quality ad operations and campaign insights within the Yahoo Consumer organization. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive team performance, optimize campaign processes, and ensure the highest standard of service for our clients. As a core member of the broader client service team, you will oversee campaign management, reporting accuracy, and revenue-driving opportunities, all while fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide 8-12 Traffic and Insights Associates, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and opportunities for skill enhancement. Set and align team goals with quarterly KPIs.
Campaign Oversight: Oversee the creative setup, QA, and optimization of ad campaigns, ensuring associates maintain accuracy in campaign execution, troubleshooting, and creative management across our platforms; GAM, Yahoo DSP powered by Taboola, AT&T Partnership.
Troubleshooting & Escalation Support: Act as the escalation point for reporting issues, coordinating with internal and external partners to resolve problems efficiently and with minimal client disruption.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to processes, including third-party vendor certifications, creative asset management, and reporting workflows with an eye towards automation to enhance efficiency and performance.
Strategic Reporting & Insights: Guide the creation of client-specific performance reports and actionable insights, helping associates draw meaningful conclusions from data and recommend strategies for optimization.
Revenue Growth & Protection: Support the team in identifying and pursuing revenue-protecting or incremental opportunities, tracking performance against revenue objectives.
Platform & Tool Development: Partner with cross-functional teams to surface and advocate for new feature requests that align with client needs and operational improvements.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to ad specifications, creative standards, and third-party vendor compliance, upholding rigorous standards across all campaigns and client engagements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years in ad operations, campaign management, or ad tech, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Familiarity with Yahoo Ads, Google Ad Manager, and other ad platforms is preferred.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite; knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and web analytics tracking is a plus.
Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to set clear expectations and foster cross-team collaboration.
Problem Solving & Initiative: Proactive approach to identifying problems, implementing solutions, and driving campaign optimizations in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: High standard for quality assurance, accuracy in reporting, and a data-driven mindset to support campaign and team goals.
Flexibility: Willingness to work within variable shifts to support team members and clients across time zones.
