Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop new and improved products to meet customer demands in a rapid and timely manner.


  • Provide rapid and timely technical service, assisting Sales, operations, and customers.


  • Work closely with Sales to develop and recommend products, as well as application equipment and techniques.


  • Support Sales during field trial and customer complaint that may require travelling to customer site as and when needed.


  • Assist manufacturing operations in the development and implementation of new/modified production methods to improve quality and increase profitability.


  • Prepare and analyze field samples to aid product-line chemists and Technical Service/Sales in providing the customer with timely responses to their needs.


  • Perform separation procedures to qualify and quantify the composition of competitive products obtained by Sales.


  • Provide technical support to all company departments.


  • Effectively interface with suppliers in identifying and qualifying new raw materials.


  • Organize and summarize work in the form of technical reports.


  • Maintain lab 5S, and ensure safe workplace, follow compliance as per company norms and local authority.


  • Characterize, handle, label, and inspect hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in a Multi National Company.


  • Minimum of master’s degree in chemistry or related field.


  • Minimum of ten years of industrial experience, including formulating or an advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.


  • Working knowledge of lubricants and surface chemistry.


  • Knowledge of Synthetic organic chemistry, polymer and materials chemistry.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, electronic literature research and scientific software (i.e. ChemDraw, SciFinder, Belstein).
