About the role

Reporting to- Factory Manager

The person in this role have to Manage, direct, and improve processes of supply chain for effectiveness measured through On-Time In-Full 

Key responsibilities

• Manage & coordinate supply chain tasks to provide support to the business in supply & demand planning.
• Analyse reports, data and performance of supply chain and make work plans to make the supply-chain more agile & efficient.
• Work closely with EXIM to ensure all import activities (clearance, freight, and transportation) work in an efficient and effective manner to keep the cost minimum without delivery failures.
• Review various categories of products such as MTF/MTS/MTO etc. & devise appropriate strategy to serve the customer in timely manner.
• Engage regularly with procurement for concerns related to vendor performance on aspects of quality & timely delivery.
• Closely work with the New Product Commercialization team to ensure the right first-time product is timely delivered.

Warehousing:

• Manage the team of warehouse to ensure no supply disruptions by timely offloading & issuance of material for production.
• Monitor & improve the productivity levels of the loading/unloading operations.
• Drive the good warehousing practices for a food manufacturing site viz. GMP levels, allergen management, RM/PM/FG segregation, Cleaning & Sanitation programs etc.
• Develop & review the philosophy for various warehouses to create lean, efficient & effective model.
• Institute &/or drive necessary process controls in warehousing operations to ensure no differences in the inventory cycle counts.

Inventory:

• Keep inventory at optimum level without compromising on delivery levels.
• Review At-Risk inventories regularly, engage with respective team members to decide appropriate actions, drive preventive measures & closure.
• Indirect Materials & Services; Manage procure-to-pay for indirect materials & services pertaining to the plant & warehousing operations.
• Customer Service: Accountable for the timely deliveries, timely responses to customer feedbacks & logistic cost optimization

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• MBA in Supply-chain or in allied field
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in Food Industry

• Problem solving abilities, good organizational skills
• Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills
