JOB TITLE: Manager – Strategic Sourcing (Electronics)                                                                                                                


GRADE: Manager


REPORTS TO:  DGM - Strategic Sourcing


LOCATION: Mumbai


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic sourcing                                    


  • Spend analysis
  • Identify Cost reduction projects
  • RFQ, Negotiations & Closure  
  • Conduct an Initial assessment of potential suppliers along with CFT team.
  • Supplier benchmarking & market intelligence
  • Prepare documents for Supplier selection, evaluation and audits for alignment to business requirement.
  • Product development in modernization, T packages           
  • Budgeting & planning for annual and long term
  • Ensure in time supplier Agreements with service providers and their evaluation

Supplier management


  • Supplier Capacity Analysis                             
  • Supplier & Part Development and secondary responsibility in quality / PPAP            
  • Supplier Performance Analysis                                   
  • Supplier SWOT Analysis, Risk rankings with mitigation                         
  • Supplier system & EHS audits and Strategic Rationalization & capacity enhancement                                

Sourcing strategy


  • Localization & Dual Sourcing 
  • The candidate will develop suppliers/spares that are imported and old discontinued parts to help availability, alternate sourcing
  • Synchronize & align departmental strategies & Goal with the Organizations objective.
  • Product & part development at supplier place by using optimized energy processes

S&OP and reporting


  • Ensure adherence to comply with OTIS core value, ethic & EHS compliance.
  • Ensure ITC for  global procurement policy
  • MIS reporting to local and global management

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS


Engineering Degree in Electronics from a reputed institution.


EXPERIENCE


Minimum 10 years of experience from a manufacturing industry - preferably from an Elevator industry

  • Ability to handle multiple activities, meet critical deadlines, strong people and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present project ideas and status to team members, internal customers as well as senior leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen to develop, understand and communicate business cases.
  • Capable of driving change while maintaining positive relations with internal customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to all levelsCapable of driving change while maintaining positive relations with internal customers.
  • Manage key projects.
  • Relationships: Build strong supplier and stakeholder relations.
  • Market Insight: Use market knowledge for cost savings.
