Our client is a reputed Indian Group having its Shared Services operations in Hyderabad. They are looking for a Chartered Accountant with exposure in Internal Audit, Assurance and Financial Accounting.
Job Purpose:
This position will lead successful delivery of Complete Balance sheet GLs analysis for all business of the Group right from Trial Balance to Individual GL balance open items. The role will include Preparation of overall effectiveness of Risk rating (High, Medium and Low), Reconciliation items classified in to three categories (Closed, Reconciled and Open items).
Key Accountabilities:
1. Risk profiling of the Balance Sheet Accounts –
Liaise with the Audit, Business Finance and Tax teams to categorize the Balance Sheet
accounts into High, Medium and low risk items
2. Establish and sustain the Balance Sheet review framework & Governance -
a. Preparer, Reviewer and Approver framework
b. Define the list of documents, notes, etc to justify the carrying balances on BS
Timelines
c. Define the frequency of the reconciliation to be performed for each category of BS
account
d. Governance to report out the items into Close, Reconciled and Open items and
track them to closure
e. Report out Group level view on the potential adjustments to be made to the
carrying values of the Accounts to the Management on a quarterly basis
3. Drive Efficiencies and automation of Process
a. Standardize and simplify the process to drive efficiencies.
b. Lead the implementation of reconciliation tool to automate the process
4. Enhance the Month End close governance and Audits
a. Identify the potential gaps in process and strengthen the Accounting process
b. Strengthen the review to enhance the effectiveness of the audits and external
reviews
5. People Management and Team management
Qualifications & Experience:
Chartered Accountant with 6 plus years of post qualification experience
