As an automation Manager, Quality Engineering Tech, you will drive our automation testing initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in managing automation quality engineering teams, functional and non-functional automation, testing environments, test data and related processes. You would be performing below responsibilities -


Role Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement automation testing strategies aligned with organizational goals. Define quality engineering automation objectives and key results to drive team performance and bring automation efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts and ensure product quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of quality engineering professionals to achieve excellence. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members to foster growth and development. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and deliverables and automation backlog management. Identify skill gaps within the team and implement strategies for skills development. Ensure that the team is adequately resourced and equipped to perform testing activities efficiently.  
  • Identify opportunities for automation optimization and efficiency gains in the testing process. Implement best practices automation framework, standards, and methodologies to enhance quality engineering practices. Continuously evaluate and improve testing workflows to streamline operations and improve productivity.
  • Act as a liaison between the quality engineering team and key stakeholders. Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project sponsors and senior management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and expectations.
  • Foster a culture of leadership development within the quality engineering team. Identify high-potential team members and provide opportunities for growth and advancement. Invest in training and development programs to enhance leadership skills and capabilities within the team.

Role Requirements


  • 10 years of Quality Engineering experience with solid experience in banking domain with hands-on automation experience.
  • Technical expertise involving Java, Cucumber, TestNG, Selenium, Performance Testing, Jira, Python, mobile testing, SQL, Unix scripting, DevSecOps, CICD tools like Teamcity, Jenkins. Experience in various testing automation frameworks. Mentor team members on technical best practices and tools usage. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in testing to enhance technical proficiency.
  • Should be able to set up and enhance automation framework for non-production environments, involving automated way of build promotion within environments with quality and within time. Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize testing disruptions.
  • Must have solid experience on Test Management, Automation framework creation for API, Web and Mobile based application,
  •  Service Virtualization Frameworks Management and Development will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge / certification of AWS will be an added advantage.
  • DevOps knowledge and any implementation experience will be an added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
