The Core AI & Data Platforms Team has been established to create, operate, and run the Enterprise AI, BI & Data that facilitate the time to market for reporting, analytics and data science teams to run experiments, train models and generate insights as well as evolve and run the CoCounsel application and its shared capability of CoCounsel AI Assistant.

About the Role:


In this opportunity as a Manager Software Engineering, you will: 


  • Lead and mentor a team and ensure the team is always aligned with the overall product vision and company goals while fostering an innovative, collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Ensure that design and approaches fit in with the larger architectural strategy and all technical standards are being followed.
  • Ensure that critical project issues/roadblocks are communicated upward and that mitigation plans are successfully executed.
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and analyzing key metrics and usage analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design teams and customers to define product requirements, prioritize the backlog to align with changing customer and market needs, and establish timelines for developing and delivering new features while managing risks and addressing roadblocks.
  • Be a customer advocate and a product expert to help provide context, empathy, and rationale behind customer needs to the product development team so they are getting the direction and support they need to be successful.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to gather feedback and drive product improvements.
  • Put customers and customer analytics at the center of discovery, design and prioritization. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and analyzing customer feedback, product usage data, market trends and other success metrics to inform product decisions as well as our roadmap.
  • Working in a collaborative team-oriented environment, you will share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross functional and remote teams.
  • Act as an escalation point for staff and partners.

 About You:


You're a fit for the role of Manager Software Engineering if your background includes:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ Years of experience in software development with 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.


  • 5+ Years of extensive software development experience with Python, AWS Services like S3, RDS, EC2, APIs.


  • Serverless Computing: Understanding of serverless architecture using AWS Lambda.


  • RESTful APIs: Designing and building APIs for seamless communication between different components.


  • AWS API Gateway: Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway.
    Microservices Architecture and Containerization.


  • Docker, AWS ECS, and ECR: Packaging applications and dependencies into containers for consistency and scalability.


  • Version Control: Proficient in version control for collaborative development using Git.


  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).


  • Testing: Unit Testing, Integration Testing using PyTest.


  • Proven ability to set direction and inspire team members to successfully deliver on commitments.


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and great attention to detail.


  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict management skills.


  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, presentation, documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.


  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.


  • Highly self-directed and enthusiastic about showing initiative.


  • A management style that is collaborative and results oriented.


 Good to have skills:


  • Experience on Airflow(AWS MWAA).
  • Security and Identity and Access Management (IAM): Understanding of securing access to cloud resources.
  • SSL/TLS, OAuth, JWT: Knowledge of secure communication and authentication protocols.
  • Monitoring and Logging: CloudWatch (AWS): Utilizing monitoring and logging services to track application performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation : Automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
