Job Summary


If you are a proposal specialist, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a proposal manager/senior manager to work for our Pressure Management Business unit. 


This role will strive to work for the business and would be responsible for creating, leading and completing business proposals, ensuring everyone on the team meets their timelines. The responsibilities encompass the introduction and implementation of vital proposal procedures and governance. By doing so will ensure that each submission is not only stays in sync with the project scope but also stands out in competitive bidding environments.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • To lead the project proposal team and maintain a log of all project bids for natural gas, power, O&G industry, Hydrogen, compressed bio-gas
  • To review the quotation timelines and status with the sales team.
  • To ensure timely preparation of the proposal with competitive cost and quality
  • Discussion on the final pricing strategy, analysis of the previous submitted similar bid with on hand bids. 
  • Understanding the complete project technical and commercial BQC and tender specifications and scope. 
  • Closely work with internal sales, engineering, procurement, quality and project team to prepare the best competitive bid documents and submit to sales in time.
  • Closely work with customers and vendors for preparing the most competitive bid
  • Monitor and ensure the pre & post bid submissions 
  • Define complete project scope for natural gas pressure reducing skids to support business goals in agreement with senior management during pre-bid and bidding stage.

For This Role, You Will Need:


  • Degree in Engineering preferably mechanical stream with relevant proposal, complete project cost estimation experience of 10-15 years
  • Technical proficiency & experience on bid cost estimation skids/regulators/valves  
  • High level of integrity & trust
  • Good command on MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Good communications, negotiation, and people management skills.
  • Basic finance and costing Knowledge is preferred.
  • Self-driven & self-motivated personality

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


  • Experience on bid preparation of Natural Gas skids, regulators and valves assembly will be an added advantage
