Job Title/Role: Manager, Safety Systems Support


Department Name/Functional Area: Research and Development / Global Drug Development Worldwide Patient Safety/ PV Operations/Global Safety Systems


Location: Hyderabad


Section 2: Job Description


Position Summary: The position will support WWPS global safety system business operations by providing effective oversight and maintenance of the global safety database and analytics activities.


Duties/Responsibilities      


  • Support the global safety systems team in maintaining and updating the safety system to align with global regulations and enhance process efficiency
  • Support oversight of safety system problem tickets and incidents to ensure they effectively address case management business needs.
  • Translate safety database release notes into clear, accessible language for business users
  • Assist in development of complex ad-hoc report queries
  • Monitor centralized external query mailbox and fulfill report requests received from business partners, external and internal stakeholders, as well as audit and inspection readiness
  • Participate in the process of qualification/validation of global safety database upgrades and changes
  • Facilitate collaboration among case management, IT, system vendors, and other departments within PV Operations Excellence to support successful implementation of safety database projects and initiatives.
  • Provide support to global end-users for LSMV and LSRA as required
  • Maintain the LSRA microsite to ensure up-to-date information
  • Support authoring system related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Working Instructions (WIs)

Reporting Relationship


Reports to: Director, Global Safety Systems Business Operations


Qualifications:           


  • Degree in healthcare science such as B.S.N./RN, B.A./B.S./M.S. (Life Sciences); B.S. Pharm./R.Ph./Pharm.D. or equivalent
  • Prior safety system and case processing related experience in pharmacovigilance preferred
  • Knowledgeable in regulations pertaining to pharmacovigilance case processing and submissions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, changing environment and be accountable for actions and results
  • Demonstrated effective oral/written communication and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Travel: As required
