Roles and Responsibilities:
Manager - Risk Data and Reporting, will play a key role in supporting risk data aggregation, analysis, and reporting efforts within American Express’ Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This role focuses on executing defined tasks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of risk reports, helping the team meet internal and regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC Heightened Standards, BCBS 239).

Assist in the execution of risk data aggregation and reporting initiatives in alignment with BCBS 239 requirements and organizational standards.

Support the preparation and delivery of risk reports, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of underlying data.

Collaborate with risk domain teams (credit, market, operational, etc.), data specialists, and technology partners to source, validate, and interpret data for reporting purposes.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), metrics, and Early Warning Indicators (EWIs) across risk domains.

Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to meet internal governance policies and regulatory requirements.

Execute data governance practices under guidance to maintain high-quality data and reporting standards.

Assist in identifying and addressing gaps or inefficiencies in reporting processes and workflows.

Support the execution of data integration initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve reporting efficiency.

Help maintain an inventory of risk reports and associated documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Provide data analysis and visualization support to identify key risk trends and insights.

Collaborate with senior team members to support the VP, Head of Risk Data and Reporting’s vision and priorities for risk data aggregation and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in data analytics, finance, risk management, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

3-5 years of experience in data aggregation, reporting, or risk management in a Fortune 500 company within the financial services industry.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large data sets.

Previous experiences in executing against BCBS 239 requirements preferred.

Strong acumen in financial products and risk concepts.

Strong written, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, or CRM) preferred.
