We are seeking an experienced Quality Operations Manager to lead a team of approximately 10 Quality Engineers (ASPICE professionals) supporting platform product development in the Global Product Organization (GPO) at Aptiv. The Quality Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the development of high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements. This is a critical leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team of quality engineers.
Your Role
Lead a team of Quality Engineers (ASPICE professionals) to ensure the development of high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement quality strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of product development.
Embed Quality Engineers into platform product development projects to provide:
ASPICE coaching
Gap analysis
Mock and formal ASPICE assessments, as needed
Develop and manage quality metrics, reports, and dashboards to measure and improve product quality.
Identify and mitigate quality risks and develop corrective actions to address quality issues.
Develop and manage resources, and timelines to achieve quality objectives.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Quality Management.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a quality management role, with a focus on automotive or similar industry.
ASPICE Competent Assessor certification or equivalent.
Proven experience leading a team of quality engineers or similar professionals.
Strong technical knowledge of product development, including software and hardware development.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Familiarity with industry standards, such as ISO 26262, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Quality Management.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA.
Knowledge of six sigma or lean principles.
Experience with quality management tools, such as QTest or equivalent.
Familiarity with Aptiv's products and technologies.
