Job Responsibilities


  1. Quality Control Processes: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality control processes, procedures, work instructions and control plans throughout the foundry, from raw material inspection to final product inspection.
  2. Process Optimization & Operational RISK analysis: Identify areas for improvement by analyzing the current quality control practices and procedures. Maintaining cost of poor quality, zero customer complaint, NCs, customer scorecard documents.  Increase productivity, decrease defects, and improve overall product quality by suggesting and implementing process improvements.   Encourage the quality control team to have a culture of continuous improvement. Creating Formats and structures for risk analysis and monitoring the operational risk post analysis.
  3. Product Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of products to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and quality standards set by customers.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, inspection results, and testing data. Generate quality reports and provide timely feedback to the production team. Prepare the SPC reports and ensure that the production processes are under control.
  5. Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues or defects, and work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain high-quality standards for incoming raw materials and components. Ensure suppliers meet quality and performance requirements.
  7. Training: Train and educate employees on quality control processes, standards, and best practices to improve awareness and adherence to quality guidelines
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to cast iron production, ensuring that the foundry complies with all applicable quality and safety standards.
  9. Customer Relations: Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding quality-related matters. Address customer concerns and coordinate corrective actions when necessary. Supporting customer audits, Customer Score Card (Surveys) by the International Marketing team, Closing observations post survey.
  10. Audit and Certification: Prepare for and participate in quality audits conducted by both internal teams and external certification bodies. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001,I IATF 14969 standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001  and other quality management system standards. Do the internal audits on regular basis and ensure that internal audit score is more than 95%.
  11. Responsible to understand the the drawings/customer quality requirements/product functional requirement/Installation requirements. Prepare the internal acceptance criteria in consultation with production/NPD.

2.Factory is audit ready always and good day to day compliance level with standards.


3.Teamwork is in place while pursuing quality department KPI's.


4.Customer complaints should be ZERO


5.No major NC’s during the external audit


6.Should conduct the internal audits/process/product audits as per the schedule and close the NC’s


7.Ensure that all the team understands SOP’s, WI, Control plan by providing the training
