This position is a member of the Safety Operations team within GPS and has direct responsibility for oversight and management of one or more areas within Global Patient Safety. This role will manage the workflow of the team and is responsible for training activities for all direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Manage daily operations of assigned staff and/or outsource vendor.

· Provide direct oversight of individuals including mentoring, performance management, and staffing decisions.

· Interface with other Baxter business groups and develop good working multi-functional relationships.

· Review and provide oversight on quality control metrics and compliance reports, developing corrective action plans, as applicable.

· Participate in and/or lead meetings

· Develop expertise and recognition as an expert in handling sensitive staff and customer issues, including interactions with regulatory agencies.

· Ensure awareness of departmental and functional priorities through regular communications with the team.

· Assist with regulatory inspections (FDA, EMEA) and internal audits.

· Interface with other Baxter groups (IT, Regulatory) as needed.

· Represent Global Pharmacovigilance on Cross Functional Teams, as well as CAPA efforts.

· Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Qualifications

· Ability to manage and lead others

· Ability to develop and train others

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills that encourage teamwork

· Medical and clinical knowledge

· Excellent attention to detail

· Knowledge of applicable drug safety/pharmacovigilance regulatory guidelines.

Education and/or Experience

· Degree in nursing or pharmacy or science degree or equivalent

· Minimum of 1 year of management experience

· Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance or related discipline

· Expertise with global pharmacovigilance regulations, processes, and requirements
