Key Accountabilities
• Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of diverse finance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and managing varying levels of responsibility based on project scope.
• Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring all milestones are met on schedule.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders and senior leadership (SVP/VP level), ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage issues and risks, escalating as necessary to business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Meeting Coordination: organize and facilitate project meetings, documenting minutes with clear action items and timelines for follow-up.
• Process Improvement: Engage in shaping project outcomes by analyzing current processes (“As is”) and collaborating with teams to design optimized future processes (“to-be”) using ESSA principles (Eliminate, Simplify, Standardize, Automate).
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present project updates to various stakeholder groups and governance meetings, ensuring alignment and support.
• Best Practices: Adhere to the Process Excellence Delivery Framework, providing insights and guidance on project best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Project Management Tools: Ensure that project management tools, such as Monday.com, are consistently updated to reflect current project status.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with counterparts across all relevant teams to facilitate collaboration and project success.
• Ownership and Accountability: Take full ownership of project scope, quality, and cost, ensuring that intended benefits and outcomes are achieved.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience Essential:
Minimum of 6 years of relevant finance experience across multiple teams.
Proven track record of successfully delivering change initiatives or projects.
Desirable:
Experience in project management and/or change management.
Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) or equivalent relevant internal experience at IHG
