The Patient Assistance Program (PAP) Manager is responsible for managing BMS’ programs to improve access to its innovative therapies in India. This role would require the PAP Manager to demonstrate a patient centric approach while developing and managing BMS’s PAPs. The PAP Manager must have expertise in project management, cross-functional collaboration and data analysis & management.
Maintaining Operational Oversight
Manage partnerships with external vendors and conduct periodic (weekly/ monthly/ quarterly) reviews of the vendors to monitor their performance as per the agreed upon KPIs
Proactively analyze gaps/challenges and devise solutions to improve operational efficiency of the PAP process
Serve as a bridge between the commercial team and the PAP vendor to ensure seamless flow of information permitted as per BMS Policies
Coordinate with stakeholders from other internal functions (Compliance, Legal, Commercial, Medical, Supply Chain, IT, Pricing) for efficient operation of PAP and timely resolution of any issues
Conduct field visits to understand feedback from key customers, analyze feedback received and drive changes wherever feasible
Analyze reports and curate actionable insights that can be disseminated to relevant internal stakeholders
Participate and coordinate relevant multi-stakeholder forums regarding PAP and share insights/updates during the meetings
Budgetary planning and oversight to ensure strong fiscal governance
Manage vendor agreements/contracts and review invoices prior to processing
Support forecasting of PAP related requirements
Driving Compliance
Create and update relevant SOPs that govern the entire PAP/PSP process
Ensure all vendor personnel are trained in the SOP and all relevant BMS Policies and Processes
Monitor exceptions to BMS SOPs, policies and processes; and seek relevant internal approvals wherever required
Proactively identify any risks and highlight to relevant internal stakeholders
Implement/oversee implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address risks identified during audits or routing monitoring
Innovation and Patient Centricity
Maintain knowledge of latest innovative practices across pharmaceutical companies in India and implement relevant best practices
Keep track of latest offerings by health-tech start-ups and explore partnerships to improve PAP services
Continuous process improvement using six-sigma principles to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction

Bachelors degree with 5+ years of work experience
Desired Experience
2+ years of managing PAP/PSPs at a multinational Pharma Company in India
Experience in consultancy background or CA/MBA (advantage)
Knowledge of Pharma Supply Chain process
