ROLE SUMMARY
Consultative partnership with the India commercial leadership team & new product launch squads on launch readiness, to identify challenges, determine potential solutions for ensuring on-time launches & become the overall custodian of the country’s portfolio strategy.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio Management:
Establish and drive ownership of portfolio evaluation process to map potential launch assets slated for next 18-60 months.
Collaborate with regulatory, medical, commercial, clinical operations and related functions within country as well as key above country launch excellence teams / stakeholders for a transparent and aligned view on launch go or no-go, launch prioritization & sequencing decisions
Assess Pfizer’s global pipeline and shortlist products relevant for India market, with a mid to long-term horizon. Provide insights and recommendations to the country leadership team for informed decision-making on launch prioritization
New product launch (NPL) forum: Evolve the existing monthly NPL forum to:
Expedite launch timelines, leveraging cross functional inputs on opportunities, enablers, challenges and related considerations
Drive and track cross functional coordination and action on remediation of bottlenecks and issues identified through forum discussions
Highlighting the progress of new launches to India leadership team and escalate key bottlenecks and support calls from India Leadership team
Own and update launch readiness dashboard, to be presented on relevant forums, including monthly LT meetings
Launch excellence & governance:
Leverage global resources and adopt global principles to develop & own robust launch governance protocols to cross functionally coordinate tactical launch planning activities
Adopt and customize DLPP and related tools specific to India market scenario as well as respective product / market landscape. Ensure standardized and consistent tracking of all launch activities through customized tools, referenced for all launch readiness discussions across various in-country and above country discussions.
Collaborate with the cross functional team members across domains (clin ops, regulatory, medical, access, marketing) to drive the launch readiness governance process & ensure successful launches across therapy areas.
As a project manager of the cross functional launch squads, proactively identify challenges / issues, provide guidance to the squad on the mitigation plan & ensure on-time completion of critical activities
Collaboration with regional & global stakeholders: Represent India in the regional / global launch excellence forums, understand learnings, insights and best practices from various markets and leverage it for enhancing launch readiness for products in India
QUALIFICATIONS
5-10 years of relevant experience
Strong cross functional knowledge of Pharma product launch process including regulatory, clinical, medical, commercial, access, procurement and distribution considerations
Strong business acumen across therapies within India Pharma Market, especially those relevant for Pfizer India from a future portfolio perspective
Strong inter-disciplinary stakeholder driven project management and process governance capabilities
Strong communication skills with ability to rally cross functional collaboration, perform appropriate issue escalations, presentation to Pfizer India Leadership team
Track record of strong ownership and self-initiation.
Ability to understand, synthesize and communicate clinical benefits from public health perspective.
