The Manager Indirect taxation will be responsible for Indirect Taxation for India and Bangladesh.
What you’ll do at Elekta
Would you like to be part of our motivated global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best skills to Elekta? We offer you an exciting opportunity to join our Finance & Operation team in India, which is currently a team of 4 members.
Responsibilities
Responsible to legally minimize tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations.
Managing all aspects of indirect taxation, including compliance with GST, customs duty, and other state-level taxes.
Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates and reports accruals.
Experienced in handling the customs matter including valuation, classification and duty determination etc.
Streamline the customs related activities on both import and exports of goods.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of monthly and annual GST returns.
Establish appropriate system or processes for tax risk management for the Group.
Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support for the Group.
Manage external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally.
Review of major contracts and transactions to minimize the tax exposure.
What you bring
Degree in Accountancy, with CA qualification
Min 10 years’ tax experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/ or MNC handling corporate tax and GST.
Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in GST.
Prior experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and project management will be advantageous.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous
Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive.
Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
Independent worker who can work well with minimal supervision.
Fast worker with ability to work well under stress.
