Job Description

Manager I, Global Financial Data Operations


The role of Manager I, Operations in Global Financial Data Operations team is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing multiple teams and ensuring the successful management of a large operations team focused on specific client or stakeholder deliverables and projects. This position involves managing other managers, making it a crucial link in the operational hierarchy.


The selected candidate will collaborate closely with a range of key stakeholders, including Managing Directors, Operations Heads, senior management from Business Units, Team Leads, and clients/stakeholders, as necessary. This collaboration aims to determine client/project onboarding requirements, develop comprehensive plans and strategies, and take ownership of the actual project execution and operational processes for their team.


This role demands a proactive critical thinker who can navigate complex operational challenges effectively. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, work at a proficient pace, demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, and be willing to dedicate additional hours when the situation demands it. This multifaceted role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a dedication to ensuring the successful delivery of projects and client expectations.


The day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to:


Operations Service Delivery Management 


  • Overall responsibility for the operation.
  • Lead and manage teams and projects, by gathering requirements and documentation, working with senior stakeholders to identify appropriate resource needs and track overall progress through to timely completion. 
  • Serve as a domain expert and lead Project calls
  • Lead internal/external projects independently, gather requirements, identify resource needs, and track project progress for timely completion with minimal AHT and >99% accuracy.
  • Ensure SLA compliance.
  • Establish team KRAs aligning with organizational goals.
  • Define, design and manage end to end workflow as per the project and stakeholder requirements.
  • Design operational dashboards with real-time/daily metrics.
  • Ensure effective workflow and operations management including ‘Monday Board’ and identify opportunities for workflow automation
  • Serve as a backup for Senior Managers.

Capacity Planning and Resource Fulfillment


  • Plan resource allocation for seasonal peaks and troughs.
  • Optimize resource utilization and promote cross-utilization.
  • Responsible for staff recruitment, development, and retention.
  • Provide timely project updates and flag issues proactively.

Performance & People Management


  • Keep Team Attrition < 10% and Identify potential EWS and highlight the same to senior leadership.
  • Ensure team exceeds KPI targets.
  • Review performance reports, conduct appraisals.

Develop and execute motivation and reward systems.


  • Foster teamwork and communication.

Governance


  • Update accurate billable/non-billable hours on MS Dynamics.
  • Manage WFH, absenteeism, resource demands.
  • Ensure appropriate governance for your team and adherence to Kroll policies

Training


  • Create and enhance training modules, SOPs, checklists, and transition documents.
  • Execute training plans for new hires and existing team members.
  • Identify skill gaps and upskill analysts.

Collaboration & Improvement


  • Ensure successful client onboarding and smooth transition of projects through seamless collaboration
  • Look for cross functional collaborations along with assisting leadership in coordinating work activities with other supervisors, managers, and departments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with peers, operational leadership, clients and stakeholders and ensure client delight.   
  • Look for opportunities for collaborations to keep the team’s utilization healthy
  • Ensure team bonding and engagement at team and org wide level.
  • Drive process enhancements and automation for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Assist and drive process enhancement and improvement which reduces time or is cost benefit. 
  • Liaise with stakeholders for process enhancement.

Desired Profile


Qualification/Work-experience


  • Preferably an MBA Finance with at least 10-15 years of relevant experience
  • Should have at least 2-5 years of manager of manager experience and should have managed large teams

Preferred:


  1. CFA or any finance certificate or Process Improvement Techniques / Certification (Lean, Six Sigma)
  2. Understanding of Power BI and other workflow/technical tools
