Overview of the Business:


The Colleague Experience Group (CEG) within American Express is focused on providing a great colleague experience, every day. This role will be a part of the International Colleague Strategic Partners (International. CSP) team in this group. This team operates with a simple premise that people are our most valuable resource.


As Manager, International Strategic Partner, you will be passionate about our 20000+ India colleagues leading and supporting workstreams that deliver market colleague priorities across Culture, Careers, Recruiting and Well-being.


Specific responsibilities:
  • Business partnership - Partnering with business leaders, CEG COE teams and global Colleague Strategic Partners (CSP, formerly HRBPs) to share consistent CEG perspective as well as enabling the business talent strategy to drive business growth. This can include:
  • Providing high impact consultation and solutions to our business leaders using a practical and data-driven approach
  • Being proactive in the development, engagement, retention, and succession of critical talent
  • Integrating inclusive leadership behaviors and ensuring a diverse workforce that is representative of our customers and the communities in which we operate.
  • Develop products, processes and solutions advised by colleague data and insights. Co-creating with business leaders and CEG colleagues to ensure the solutions meet business needs.
  • Strong collaboration with compliance & control functions for fast turnaround on key regulatory asks related to our domestic business
  • Work on specific market level initiatives to deliver a great colleague experience by collaborating with Business Leaders, COE’s & Colleague Strategic Partners (CSP, formerly HRBPs) to ensure colleague advocacy. This can include few of the following:
  • Embedding colleague brand & elevating colleague experiences by deploying a unified colleague communication strategy.
  • Strengthening inclusive culture and drives the inclusion and diversity strategy for India Market in partnership with the Colleague DE&I team.
  • Enables plans, strategizes and partners effectively to Grow the Best Talent. This can include - Growing a diverse and representative talent pipeline to fuel business momentum in the market. Bring focus on critical talent management, succession for key roles and diverse representation.
  • Strengthening colleagues’ capabilities through a market development agenda passionate about targeted skill development and innovative learning solutions.
  • Drives focus on developing new ways of working to unlock enterprise value. This can include - Building balanced org efficiency practices to enable business results; Enabling local leaders and colleagues to lead change and operate effectively through the new normal
  • Encouraging an enterprise approach across business units in India to drive synergies and efficiencies.
Skills Required:
  • Deep background and experience with HR expertise of 8+ yrs - ideally including experience in project management and using large data sets to drive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Talent Management & Learning disciplines with exposure to collaborate with multiple business partners.
  • Experience in driving Inclusion and Diversity programs is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead with an enterprise approach, collaborate seamlessly and drive effective decision-making.
  • Proven track record to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Post Graduate degree (MBA) holder from Tier A or Tier B college preferred
