POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible forexecutinginternal and external communicationstrategies for Our Company's Hyderabad Technology Center, reporting directly to the Associate Director, Global IT Communications and Change Management for the Hyderabad Tech Center. As part of the Global IT Strategic Communications & Organizational Change Management team, you will work closely with our network of regional, divisional and global communication colleagues to activate integrated communications strategies and help tell the authentic story to both internal employees and external audience. You will also partner with the Tech Center leadership team to deliver the narrative of the Center to drive engagement and establish culture for employees internally as well as the brand and reputation of our company externally.
The Specialist, Global IT Communicationmust have a passion for creative storytelling and a comfort level with operating and driving initiatives within complex, matrix organizations, focusing on employee engagementand content management. This position requires a strategic communicator with a generalist background and experience in various communication disciplines to support divisional communication needs. This role must implement an integrated, surround-sound approach, be willing to test new communication channels, and have the technical knowledge to post content and images on digital platforms.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Communication & Employee Engagement
Localize and implement integrated communications plan that bring the IT Priorities and IT narrative to life, providing the right information to the right stakeholders, at the right time.
Ensure communications are consistently compelling and aligned with our desired voice and tone.
Use metrics to define and assess the effectiveness of communication.
Plan, manage and execute internal events on behalf of divisional leadership (e.g., Town Halls, sharing sessions), including developing content and copy, coordinating event logistics, hosting live events, and providing event support.
Help identify opportunities to connect employees within our company's
India Tech Centerand develop key messages and communication material to support those programs.
External communication
Build relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, key opinion leaders (KOLs), agencies, and other relevant parties as appropriate.
Develop external materials (e.g. award submissions, website copy, etc) and ensure alignment with global guidance.
Support LinkedIn strategy for Our company's India Tech Center leaders, in alignment with broader IT LinkedIn strategy.
Support the end-to-end execution of targeted media interviews or press events.
Manage local event logistics, invitations, and media coverage to ensure successful events that build our presence in the market.
Support crisis communications strategies and protocols to effectively manage and protect our Company reputation, in alignment with global guidance.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Basic skills and requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
5-7 years of experience in corporate communication and/or a public relations agency environment.
2-3 years of writing and copywriting experience for a variety of digital and traditional channels.
1-2 years of strategic and creative experience developing communication campaigns requiring visuals, graphics, and multimedia using a variety of digital platforms.
Creative storyteller (short and long-form writing) with high attention to editorial details, capable of capturing the authentic voice in written communication.
Able to quickly grasp information and develop clear communication with minimal guidance.
Proactive and passionate individual, with strong project management skills and the confidence and ability to effectively manage and execute multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, collaborative, deadline-oriented environment.
Operates with a global mindset with knowledge and appreciation of global, regional, and local differences.
Preferred skills and requirements
Previous experience in healthcare and/or technology a bonus.
Experience with visual storytelling, video production, social media.
Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done, andthrives in a collaborative environment where you must partner cross-functionally.
Able to work with all levels of employees, including senior leaders.
Able to exercise high judgment and deliver results, particularly in narrow timeframes.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Studio, Poppulo, and SharePoint.
