In this role you’ll make an impact by:


Driving and overseeing various projects designed to improve the footprint of GCC across Regional manufacturing and Supply Chain areas, enhancing efficiency, and achieving strategic objectives. Key responsibilities typically include:


GCC Projects Planning and Execution:


  • Developing project plans, including goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Managing project execution according to the plan, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are achieved on schedule and within budget.

Cross-Functional Coordination:


  • Collaborating with stakeholders across different departments ( Supply Chain, Manufacturing, O2C, IT , Finance etc) to define project requirements and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Facilitating communication and managing expectations among project team members and stakeholders.

Risk Management:


  • Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

Resource Allocation:


  • Allocating resources (human, financial, and material) effectively to support project activities and ensure optimal utilization.
  • Monitoring resource availability and adjusting plans as needed to maintain project momentum.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Tracking project progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
  • Generating regular status reports for stakeholders and senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for adjustments.

Process Improvement and Optimization:


  • Analyzing current supply chain processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Implementing process enhancements or new methodologies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Change Management:


  • Managing the impact of project changes on stakeholders and operational processes.
  • Facilitating change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or technologies within the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:


  • Leading or supporting continuous improvement projects aimed at driving innovation and best practices within the supply chain.
  • Leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and sustainable improvements.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:


  • Ensuring project activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures to uphold product/service quality and customer satisfaction.

Overall, a Supply Chain Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and projects within the GCC, contributing to operational excellence, cost efficiency, and overall business performance. They combine project management expertise with a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics to deliver successful outcomes that align with organizational objectives.


To succeed you must hold:


  • Post graduation in life sciences / Commerce preferably a Master’s degree in Business Admin from a reputed university.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years experience working with Global Capability Centres preferably in Supply Chain & Operations area with at least 4-5 years’ experience as a people leader managing teams preferably in an MNC environment.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum).
  • Leadership and Team Management with very strong communication skills.
  • Concepts of Supply Chain Management
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Networking capabilities.
