We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager – Finance Change DeliveryPrincipal responsibilitiesImpact on the Business Capturing, analysing and documentation of business requiremements pertaining to Credit Risk Stress Testing and Projections, risk models, regulatory and internal reportingProviding a link between the requirements team and the business process and testing teams to ensure consistency of approach and efficient cross-workstream communication Engagement and support of additional stakeholders who may need to contribute to the overall project deliverablesUndertaking data analysis tasks to establish reasons for data and process gaps, help with data and ouputs reconciliation and regression testing and analysisSupporting testing (FT & UAT) and overall delivery of the solution by working together with the Stress test Delivery Manager and other suppliers (e.g. IT).Hands on with system interaction tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide and DI Studio to facilitate data analysis and requirement gatheringParticipate in preparation and execution of user trainingSupport the project manager with risk identification, risk reporting and project risks mitigationContribute to impact assessment activities and work effort assessmentsCoordinate responses to production support requirements from the operations teamProvide Input and Guidance to other Credit Risk Stress Testing projectsCustomers / Stakeholders The role holder will be expected to initiate and maintain interactions with a variety of project stakeholders including business teams, operations support, technology teams and external vendors Leadership & Teamwork Responsible for driving end-to-end ownership if assigned requirements from inititation to delivery; therefore the role holder must be highly skilled in teamwork, to drive his/her own and the team’s approach and standardsCollaborate with other Group functions, Regional teams to ensure effective working relationships which deploy solutions to a prioritised set of marketsOperational Effectiveness & Control Ownership of requirement documentation standards for Stress Testing activities to ensure strong, repeatable and consistent delivery processEnsure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards and Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators.Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder’s abilities)Ability to critique practices and capabilities while maintaining a strong working relationship with the teams involved.Structured approach and flexibility to work across multiple disciplines is essentialEffective management of time to work across multiple disciplines, timezones, etcExcellent understanding of business analysis and functional testing process.Driving towards results and managing multiple priorities.Ensuring appropriate version control and rigor is applied across the work stream and the relevant documentation is maintained to provide a clear audit trail.Role Context (The environment and operating conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority)The role supports the project lead of SPST (Strategic Planning & Stress Testing) Credit Risk Finance Change Delivery on business analysis and functional testing, delivered as per the agreed plan through engagement with business stakeholders, IT and operations function for a successful Credit Stress Test execution.Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technologyThe Programme must be managed in accordance with the group controls framework and with relevant FIM’s (Finance Instruction Manual)Approach / Change must comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements from a global standpointAlso by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate departmentObservation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulatorsThe jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to complyThis will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity.
