The Manager, Fast Trak Validationis responsible for managing paid service customer specific technical projects. Leads a small local team. Works directly with external Pharm and Biotech customers and internal commercial teams to define, implement, and execute customer specific technical projects. Required to generate specific test protocols and reports to support customer requests. The incumbent is assigned responsibility for intermediate to complex projects.


This position reports to the Senior Manager and is part of the Hardware Solutions; Fast Trak Validation Services located in Bengaluru, India and will be an on-site role.  At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.


What you will do:


  • Project Management: Lead, delegate, and review projects of intermediate to complex complexity without guidance. Schedule and prioritize laboratory work, ensure on-time project delivery, and update team managers on project status, including addressing delays and developing countermeasures.
  • Customer Consultation and Liaison: Lead or co-lead technical consultations with customers, involving validation testing plans, data review, and test recommendations. Maintain close communication with customers throughout the project, including leading technical discussions, conducting on-site technical meetings, and providing training.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ensure all test requirements are in place through effective teamwork and communication with the lab team. Communicate business activities and requirements to the team and contribute to the development of team objectives.
  • People Management: Lead team discussions on the design of new tests, set team and staff objectives, perform appraisals, monitor performance, and initiate disciplinary procedures if required. Provide coaching and guidance for team career development and succession planning.
  • Process Optimization and Resource Management: Drive the optimization of processes and resources using DBS tools. Support internal project work related to R&D, NPI, NPD, and QC release testing as required by management.

Who you are:


  • Experience and Education: Master’s or PhD in Science (Chemistry, Bio, or Life Science) with >7 years of experience in the Biotech industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Excellent knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods, including the ability to solve complex problems and provide countermeasures using technical experience.
  • Project Management: Proven ability in technical project management, supporting AOP and order growth year over year. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work autonomously.
  • Leadership Skills: Aptitude and ability for leading a small local team, including setting objectives and managing performance.
  • Customer Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers and lead technical discussions.
  • Teamwork: Strong desire to work closely with a diverse team and be a team player.
  • Business Acumen: Good understanding of relevant business unit strategies and the ability to align technical work with business goals.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:


  • Ability to travel with 10-20% travel, overnight, within India, and APAC as needed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • 2 or more years of people management experience.
  • Project Management Certification
