About your team


The Performance Analytics group provides portfolio analysis including performance, attribution and characteristics for Fidelity International Limited (FIL) worldwide. The team is global and operates in Dublin, Dalian, London, Tokyo, Gurgaon and Hong Kong. The group comprises of sub teams who all interact closely and work together to provide clients (both internal and external) with analysis on Fidelity products and mandates. This role is part of the Equity Attribution & Analytics sub team with a remit to provide attribution and risk analytics to support to our investment, distribution and client reporting teams.


About your role
The Manager, working alongside the Senior Manager in Ireland, will be responsible for overseeing the team, its deliverables, and helping to manage team projects. The team will be focused on the production of quarterly fund reports, investment risk reports, investment attribution reports, adhoc queries.


Within this role duties will include:


  • Oversee and support the day-to-day activities of the team, which include:
    • Provision of performance attribution analysis to the Investment and distribution teams
    • Provision of value added analysis on attribution reporting for the front office
    • Ensure reports are produced to deadlines driven by both internal and external clients
    • Responding to a significant volume of ad-hoc queries and requests
    • Preparation of data and analysis for the QFR packs (quarterly fund reports)
  • Contributing to projects including systems testing, solution design and working with technology teams.
  • Managing stakeholders which includes items such as new requirements/requests and how it impacts in the team.
  • Participate in and support the global attribution cross asset management team.
  • Act in a matrix manager capacity for India based team members within the wider department

Principle duties:


  • Reconcile official performance, risk, and attribution data.
  • Preparation of investment reports.
  • Working with the Investment teams to understand the drivers of performance
  • Provision of performance attribution analysis for all retail funds managed by FIL
  • Assisting colleagues where required
  • Active involvement in departments strategic attribution projects which will involve scope analysis, systems testing, implementation, review and procedure compilation.
  • Working with technology to ensure requirements are delivered
  • Responding to a significant volume of ad-hoc queries and requests
  • Managing team deliverables

About you


  • Degree level in Finance, Maths, Statistics, Economics, Accounting
  • Previous managerial experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of equity instruments is essential
  • System knowledge such as Factset, Barra preferred.
  • Detailed experience within a performance team (measurement and/or attribution) preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investment management.
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn new skills and continue self-development
  • Strong numerical, technical and statistical skills.
  • Self-motivated and responsive to a changing environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Team contributor.
