Overview:

Collins Aerospace – GETC – Interiors – Heated Ice Protection, Pneumatic De Icers, Water System & Integration Engineering (IPWS)

Position: Engineering Manager (M4)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage a multi discipline (Structural, Electro thermal & Pneumatic) team of technical leaders & early talent engineers, fostering a collaborative & high-performance work environment.
• Collaborate with Bangalore operation on Anti freezing & Deicing products to ensure product alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electronics, Software, R&M, testing to ensure product alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. Demonstrated Managerial / Leadership skills will be endorsed.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful project outcomes. Highly proficient in Collins Management System (CMS).
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Talent development & management including hiring, training, mentoring &retention.

• Focus on Continuous Improvement initiatives (CORE)

Preferred Skills:

• Electro thermal – Electric to heat energy
• Pneumatic – Air pressure
• Solid Mechanics
• Knowledge of TSO, DO standards and other Aerospace standards.
• Agile -SaFE project management methodologies
• Proficient in Material & Manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Collaboration & Communication

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's / master’s degree in mechanical / Electromechanical engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in product design and development within the aerospace industry.
