Job Description


The ideal candidate would have designed frameworks and distributed application development in past. The candidate should be hands on with C++ primarily and should have working knowledge of other programming languages. The candidate should have strong design skills and good understanding of generic architecture paradigms, Scalability, Database design, performance tuning.


Top candidates will also be excellent leaders and communicators. The ideal candidate should be able to anticipate the need for making the components more scalable well in time and then


taking care of necessary seamless changes to ensure that the components are up to date with the latest technical stack.


The candidate should have had exposure to latest development tools and practices and should continuously work in adopting those practices in Amadeus so that the productivity of the developers is enhanced.


Common accountabilities:


  • Development, design and sustenance of data product engineering including maintain technical high level and Low-level design artefacts
  • Responsible for leading & managing a Product Engineering team and being the touchpoint fronting the team for Engineering Deliveries, Coordination with QA, Product Management and Global stakeholders.
  • Manages a team of Staff employees and has accountability for their performance and results. Sets performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends actions.​
  • Defines a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges and translates it into a concrete action plan. Works with a high level of autonomy, with some guidance from Senior Manager. ​
  • Acts as a reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems.​
  • Optimizes efficiency based on knowledge and experience with the policies, procedures and business plan.
  • Self-motivated person on software development and should adopt to the technology changes


Specific accountabilities:
Accountability / Business acumen:


  • Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives
  • Setting objectives and conducting performance appraisals
  • Report on team activities
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function
  • Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans
  • Moderate budgetary impact on business
  • Ability to learn and adapt new technology and processes
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receive guidance from senior manager

Technical excellence:


  • Strong technical skills with hands on experience in building enterprise products.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience with object-oriented design
  • Strong technical experience with object-oriented design (C++) with good knowledge of Data structure, Algorithms and distributed system design
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Cloud (Azure Preferred), Microservices, Dockers & Kubernetes.
  • Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
  • Resolve design issues, integration issues, propose long term architecture to overcome it.
  • Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding company/organization information.
