Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India Limited (SCHIL) is a diversified global healthcare leader, focused on developing products that meet the health needs of people. SCHIL engages in the research and development, manufacturing, and marketing of prescription medicines, as well as consumer health products.

Department Overview

India SCHIL market supply chain team, manages planning, customer care and logistics with distribution Spend – ~6ME, and network of 15 DCs, ~3500 Customers.

1. Stock Planning

• Develop and implement effective stock planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Analyze demand forecasts and adjust inventory levels to meet service level agreements (SLAs) while minimizing excess stock.

• Monitor stock movement & trends using analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement.

2. Transportation Mode Selection

• Evaluate and select appropriate transportation modes based on cost, delivery time, and service reliability.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
• Continuously assess transportation performance using data analytics and make recommendations for enhancements.

3. Cross-Department Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with the planning team to align inventory levels with production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Work with customer service to address any distribution-related inquiries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Partner with logistics teams to optimize warehouse operations and distribution

4. Technology & Analytics

• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the distribution network's performance, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.

5. Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies in the distribution process and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
• Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and improve distribution metrics, such as delivery times and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor performance and report results to senior management.

Pre-requisites

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies / Language

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
• Decision making, ability to prioritize.
• Negotiation skills, Conflict Management.
• Proficiency in SAP and other fulfillment management systems.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, Networking ability, Business Acumen

Process, System and Tools orientation.

• Graduate (Science / Commerce Preferred)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in distribution planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Working knowledge of SAP is desirable and demonstrated ability to work in Excel is a must
• Cross functional, technology, projects experience preferred.
• Pharmaceutical / FMCG industry experience is a plus
