We are looking for Manager (O2C)- Data Engineering Manager


  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data architecture, data models, and data flows for various data integration and data warehousing projects, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake and SQL.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support to ensure team effectiveness and growth.
  • Document and maintain the data architecture, data models, and data flows, ensuring they are comprehensive and accessible to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic direction on the adoption of cloud technologies, specifically Snowflake, and implement industry best practices in data warehouse architecture and modeling.
  • Oversee the successful completion of complex technical projects, including the creation of high-level design and architecture documentation such as class, sequence, and deployment infrastructure diagrams.
  • Manage the end-to-end technical solutions for projects across various domains, including presales, sales, collections, and after-sales service.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify pain points, and propose innovative, technology-driven solutions.
  • Ensure that ongoing projects align with architectural standards and lead any necessary modifications or enhancements.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met under time-to-market pressures.

You’d describe yourself as:


·A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing team and 7+ years in data warehousing, data architect, ETL, BI projects.


·Proven experience in managing and leading a team of data engineers, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.


·Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced query writing, optimization, and performance tuning in large-scale data environments.


·Proven experience with end-to-end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouses, including data modeling, ELT, and the development of complex stored procedures.


·In-depth knowledge of advanced Snowflake concepts, including resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, zero-copy cloning, and time travel features.


·Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and Big Data modeling techniques using Python.


·Experience with data migration from RDBMS/SAP HANA to Snowflake cloud data warehouses.


·Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL data stores, including star and snowflake schemas and dimensional modeling.


·Experience in managing data security, access controls, and designing secure data solutions.


·Proficiency in AWS or Azure data storage and management technologies, such as S3 and ADLS.


·Strong background in building processes to support data transformation, metadata management, and workload management.


·Expertise in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell scripting, and performance tuning.


·Experience with Agile development methodologies and a track record of successfully delivering projects in an Agile environment.


·Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
