MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Leads/supervises a team of 2 or more professionals; first level manager of a work team that could comprise professionals, technical and/or administrative staff.
Typically without budget or hire/fire authority.
Focuses on mentoring, coaching, and coordination.
Responsible for maximising the effectiveness of the organisation's supply chain.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for reviewing new and potential customers' operational requirements.
• Review contracts (including solution designs, pricing and other information).
• Responsible for contract negotiation with customers and suppliers.
• Oversees the coordination of the operational/ infrastructure/ system requirements before and during the set-up and implementation of the agreed Logistics solution.
• Explore and pursue potential business opportunities.
• Activities may include analysis, planning and forecasting in the areas of production, materials handling, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation and distribution.
