Job Description

Role Purpose:


This role will partner with Country and People Business Partners, people leaders in the implementation of core People processes and projects/initiatives, the people vision and driving the “one LSEG” ambition!


The initial focus of the role will be to support the transition of the Hyderabad site, currently operating under a BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) model to LSEG. Transition planned for 2025.


Following the transition, the role will support the senior Country People Partner based in Hyderabad and will be an integral part of the wider Country People Partner team responsible for supporting and delivering on our evolving Country HR team and priorities for India.


This role will report to Country HR head for India during the period of transition and to HR lead for Hyderabad after transition/ BAU state.


Role Responsibilities


Hyderabad Transition Phase:


Support all project related activities for transition, own delivery of critical program objectives including communication, planning requirements and driving engagement and support for colleagues through transition.


Primary contact for LSEG contracted colleagues in Hyderabad. Provides local expertise to people leaders and acts facilitator and advisor for complex cases/issues, providing advice, interpretation and coaching on People policies, practices and processes.


Post Transition Responsibilities


This role will have in country responsibility for consultancy related to the people agenda of the location and business unit(s)/functional areas, delivery and implementation of HR projects/initiatives and core HR processes, supporting the colleague lifecycle and partnership with midlevel and senior people leaders.


Support the senior level CPP to deliver the people agenda of the Hyderabad location and wider CPP priorities for India


  • Responsible to partner with the wider team of Country people partners to drive the country level and business level agenda


  • Delivery and implementation of HR projects/initiatives include location talent planning and core HR processes, supporting the colleague lifecycle and partnership with midlevel and senior people leaders at the location


  • Co-creates with the COEs (such as talent, performance, employee relations and rewards), tapping into their expertise, and wider function colleagues to ensure People programmes and initiatives are communicated, understood and implemented consistently across the business.


  • Analyses the business to identify and recommend HR priorities to support business agenda.


  • Is an active driver of implementing People initiatives (e.g. employee voice strategy, D&I targets, improving colleague experience)


  • Provides thought leadership through the analysis of external and internal data, helping to steer management decisions as it aligns to People priorities and catalyse change


  • Leads annual cyclical activities within functional area (e.g., talent review, year-end, engagement, etc.)


  • Participates / facilitates location specific initiatives including Councils, People Connect, location specific policies and other initiatives


  • Tracks talent metrics, proactively builds and implements solutions to identified challenges


  • Leads localized projects or global initiatives and educates self on external trends and the competitive landscape in those areas


  • Supports continuous transformations and embeds the organisational cultural intent and leadership behaviours


Qualifications, Experience and skills


  • HR background and experience is essential, demonstrated ability in HR including business partnership preferably in an MNC/company with global operations


  • Understanding of Indian labour laws and employee relations


  • Project management and/ or organisational skills.


  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to influence others and resolve conflict


  • Strong accountability, with energy and ability to handle multiple priorities


  • Sound understanding and subject matter expertise on a variety of Human Resources related topics.


  • Senior stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders


  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed global organization, strong business focused teams and partners including centers of excellence within the People Function.


Location: Hyderabad is the primary location and Bangalore is secondary. Travel between the two sites and some overnight stays will be required as part of this role.
