Title: Area Manager, Change Operations; Designation: Manager I, Operations
Job summary
We seek an Area Manager to join our fulfilment network. The candidate will be self-motivated with the right combination of leadership skills and professional business sense.
The candidate shall be responsible for driving process stabilization, standardization and continuous improvement for the site. Their primary responsibilities include driving the site’s quality and operational excellence initiatives. Additionally, the incumbent shall be working in close coordination with Ops/ Integration team and implement network level changes at FC level. They would also be leading the site Operations in absence of Site Leader
Key job responsibilities
a) Drives quality, process change and Lean-six sigma initiatives at site to exceed Business Plan
b) Drives Training, Audits and program implementation at the site
c) Changes gear to Operations leader for in absence of site lead
d) Delivers Quality and Concessions projects at site
e) Leads a team of TLs, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
f) Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Team leads accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
g) Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
a) Bachelor’s Degree in STEM from a reputed university, Operations or related field.
b) 2-3 years Operations Management/ process excellence experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment
c) Must be flexible to work any shift 7 days/24 hours including Holidays
d) Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred. Excel skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional experience with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies · Relevant knowledge of change management and continuous improvement methodologies · Strong ability interpreting & communicating analytics · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment · Ability to motivate a team.
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
