Manager, Analytics and MetricsOur Purpose
Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance designed to improve Mastercard’s operations and control environment. Strategy & Operations powers the Internal Audit function, providing standards, insights, tools and process improvements. Strategy & Operations runs the Data Analytics (DA) Program which leads OpenPages enhancements and the development of tools to turbo charge the audit process, enhance management reporting, and deliver KPIs on performance.
Overview
The Internal Audit Data Analytics Team provides support for the broader Mastercard Internal Audit Department. The team delivers innovative data-driven solutions to drive audit transformation, provide insights, automation, and process improvements across Mastercard Internal Audit. Our solutions focus on building data analytics, visualizations and reporting which enable the audit team to gain efficiencies and work smarter throughout the lifecycle of an audit. In addition, our team leads enhancements and innovation in OpenPages, the main tool utilized by our department. We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our team and help drive transformation through data-driven solutions and automation.
Role
As a member of the Internal Audit Data Analytics team, the Senior Analyst will leverage technology, data, and operational skills to drive transformation for the Mastercard Internal Audit team, with responsibilities including:
• Identify opportunities to save time and drive efficiency throughout the lifecycle of an audit
• Provide ongoing support to advance the DA Program strategy and roadmap
• Proactively innovate DA use cases to improve audit processes and automate BAU operations
• Maintain DA web presence with up-to-date information and tools
• Manage relationships with internal business partners, GBSC Data Analytics, and external subject matter experts
• Engage auditors for input and feedback to best design solutions using DA tools
• Validate and enforce data integrity in OpenPages
All About You
• Bachelor's degree with concentration in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent. Advanced education desirable.
• Relevant Professional certifications related to Internal Audit (e.g., CISA, CIA, etc.), programming languages and/or data tools are a plus
• Experience in working with visualization (e.g., Tableau, DOMO) and automation (e.g., Alteryx) tools
• Expert in advance uses of MS Office (Excel, Access) to manipulate and/or manage large datasets
• Highly motived individual with strong organizational and time management skills
• Focused on getting it right, and aware that small details can have a big impact
• Background in Internal Audit, Risk or Compliance, in addition to data and analytics is preferred
• Ability to work across business and technical teams – speaking both “languages” fluently
• Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing projects while consistently meeting deadlines and sharing updates
• Ability to present and clearly explain work completed verbally, as well as in writing
• Knowledge of audit tools (IBM OpenPages) a plus
