Job Description

The Manager of Facility Management will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. The holder of this position will oversee the company's facility operations, manage staff, manage office moves and manage janitorial duties, all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The goal is to ensure our business's accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.

The Manager of Facility Management will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. The holder of this position will oversee the company's facility operations, manage staff, manage office moves and manage janitorial duties, all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The goal is to ensure our business's accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions. Manage and prepare cost Centre Budget and manage costs within the budget. Ensure sustainability goals and targets, set internally, are met. Meet all statutory and regulatory requirements so as to ensure Business stability. Manage external agencies like local police, government officials and other regulatory officials to ensure no disruption in Business. Assess the performance of the team and coach and mentor them to improve performance. Organize and supervise office activities and host colleagues from other sites.


Main Responsibilities & Tasks:


  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments


  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards


  • Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations


  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs


  • Supervise all staff facilities (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors


  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.


  • Coordinate office space according to needs


  • Manage insurance plans and service contracts


  • Control financial and non-financial records


  • Perform analysis and forecasting


Qualification & Skills:


  • Any academic Degree


  • Minimum 15 years of work experience in facilities management position


  • Strong understanding of warehouse control systems


  • Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems


  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems


  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills


  • Demonstrated leadership skills


  • Excellent project management skills
