About the department


Finance Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore was established in 2007 and is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Commercial Analytics, Financial Planning & Analytics for Head Quarters at Denmark, Region Europe, North America, International Operations & Global Service Centre Bangalore. Commercial Analytics is part of Finance GBS and was founded in June 2013 with the idea of establishing a team consisting of dedicated analytics professionals to provide the best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.


The position


The Manager of Incentive Compensation Delivery will play a critical role in overseeing the strategic delivery of incentive compensation solutions for pharmaceutical sales teams, while driving strategic growth, thought leadership, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This position involves directing a team of analysts and consultants to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with stakeholder expectations and industry best practices.


  • Strategic Oversight of Project Delivery: Assume end-to-end ownership of Incentive Compensation (IC) Operations, ensuring precise, timely, and compliant output that aligns with stakeholder objectives across multiple regions and affiliates. Drive strategic growth initiatives to identify key opportunities and whitespace areas within the incentive compensation landscape, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and innovation within the team.


  • Leadership and Talent Development: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a team of IC analysts and consultants, setting performance goals and fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth. Act as a thought leader to inspire and nurture talent within the team, driving discussions and expanding outcomes by fostering a culture of strategic thinking and innovation. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on IC goals and deliverables, while proactively addressing stakeholder needs and expectations. Drive discussions and expand outcomes by fostering a culture of strategic thinking and innovation.


  • Incentive Plan Leadership: Lead the team in the strategic design, modeling, and execution of sales incentive compensation plans, leveraging industry best practices and regulatory standards. Drive thought leadership in the development and implementation of innovative incentive plans aligned with strategic growth objectives. Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure that all deliverables meet industry standards and comply with regulations. Drive strategic growth through thought leadership in Incentive Compensation, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.


  • Resource Management and Budget Oversight: Effectively manage project resources and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to project timelines and financial parameters. Drive strategic growth through optimizing resource allocation and budgeting for enhanced project impact. Data Management and Reporting: Oversee comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting to support IC modeling and performance reporting for stakeholders. Drive thought leadership in data analytics and reporting, leveraging insights to guide strategic growth initiatives.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and Lead by example by working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and HR, to align on incentive compensation strategies and ensure integrated support for stakeholders. Drive strategic growth through thought leadership in fostering cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment. Integration of Working Models: Integrate operational models within and across Frontline Excellence and, where feasible, across other Commercial Analytics teams to optimize cross-team resourcing, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and enhance the overall capabilities of Commercial Analytics.


  • Standardization of IC Processes: Leading the standardization of IC processes in both operations and strategy, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all aspects of incentive compensation delivery. This involves developing standardized methodologies, procedures, and best practices to streamline operations and strategic initiatives, promoting consistency and excellence in all IC-related activities.


  • Collaboration and Cross-Pollination: Foster collaboration and cross-pollination of best practices within and across teams, leveraging insights and expertise to drive innovation and elevate the effectiveness of Commercial Analytics capabilities. Networking and Thought Leadership: Establish and nurture connections with industry experts and external consultants, leveraging these relationships to explore, test, and implement new approaches and solutions for advancing analytics outcomes. Act as a thought leader in seeking out and implementing innovative strategies and industry best practices.


Qualifications


We are looking for a candidate with:


  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.


  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5+ years in Pharma Sales Incentive Compensation and leadership roles.


  • Proficiency with market IC tools like Javelin, Sales IQ, or similar platforms.


  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record in IC design, quota setting, and performance analysis.


  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
