Job Description (Job Summary + Job Responsibilities)


Technical Competencies 


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the manufacturing plant. 


  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of machines to identify potential issues and address them proactively.


  • Coordinate and oversee repairs, installations, and maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production. 


  • Set targets and ensure compliance with the same to meet plant KPI.


  • Planning and execution of Maintenance system to world class standards


  • Training operators for developing best practices, new machinery,update manual,drawing,SOP's


  • Overseeing overall procurement activities, implementing “best practices” effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations, improve quality standards & achieve maximum cost savings


  • Command over Statutory & Local regulation requirement and timely compliance of the same


  • Set objectives, provide direction & support team to deliver world-class performance in equipment, uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM & calibration compliance, repair & maintenance cost, power & fuel cost, energy saving & safety.


  • Ensure good maintenance practices are in place, anticipate & manage through adversity, and effectively incorporate improvement programs into the culture of the plant.


  • Practice all environmental health & safety procedures and make safety a top priority.


  • Drive continuous improvement to optimize R&M and energy cost and productivity improvements.


  • Understand & implement ISO procedures and ensure continual compliance with the requirements of the standards in the production department.


  • Work along with the Plant Manager to develop & action objectives, goals, strategies, and measures for assigned areas and confirm linkage to global business strategies.


  • Work with cross-functional teams like coating, finishing, projects, processes, and quality to deliver on plant performance.


  • Work with HR to build a positive employee relations & industrial relations culture.


  • Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services


  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve maintenance practices

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:


Qualifications
 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an overall experience of 15+ years in Engineering & Maintenance within a Process Industry. (Preferably from instrumentation background)


  • Proven experience in leading and managing a maintenance team of a mid or large-scale industry. 


  • Strong understanding of preventive & predictive maintenance practices and safety regulations. 


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


  • Proficient in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS, ERP)


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Well-versed with Industry 4.0, Digitization, Automation & Control systems of modern manufacturing setups.


Other Skills And Abilities
 


  • Strong presentation, oral and written communications skills.


  • Should be technically sound, analytical and have a good ability to make decisions.


  • Quick learner


  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


  • Proven ability to independently handle Process & Maintenance 


  • An excellent team player, outstanding contributor and good interpersonal skills.


Complexity of Operation: Hands-on in dealing with complexities of operations


Manufacturing facility with Highly automated coating lines, Multiple Slitting and Sheeting m/c, Automated material handling and storage, Large set of Utility including Boilers, Thermic Fluid heater,   1.5 MW DG sets, Chillers, Compressors, 1 MW solar power plant, and  Engineering Stores Management.


New Initiatives


Understanding of Industry 4.0 initiatives Energy Management system, Computerized Maintenance Management System,  Mechanisation, Automation, Robotics, and Digitisation
