Maintenance Leader-Truck at RA Mines
Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions( SMR) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry. The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling and materials handling.
Scope
To provide equipment capability, reliability and availability to operations through application of the maintenance service for the least operating cost.
Key performance areas:
- Comply with safety policies and applicable government, customer, or industry regulations.
- Report any unsafe work habits and strive to always improve safety of operations
- Demonstrate commitment to quickly resolve machine operating concerns and to continuously improve machine performance.
- May lead a mixed trades or specialist team (e.g. electrical, mechanical, etc.)
- Provide feedback to Artisan Engineering to improve machine functionality and service information documentation
- Coordination with Site Maintenance Planner for schedule maintenance Planning
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules and planned shutdowns
- Ensure planned and ad hoc repairs are executed to keep all equipment running smoothly and safely
- Ensure that equipment is maintained as per OEM standard & guidelines
- Responsible for planning and organizing work, distributing tasks to the team, overseeing work progress and performance
- Advise customers about correct operation of equipment
- Maintaining records with respect to schedule maintenance
- Build teams, motivate individuals and solve problems to achieve results
- Work with senior managers and other supervisors to promote and achieve the overall objectives
- Communicate well with senior management, other supervisors, and the team
- Develop employees by providing advice, training, encouragement and coaching
- Ensure that workers are well-trained and have the skills and knowledge they need to do their jobs safely and effectively
- Take responsibility for personal development and attainment of Company Values, Policies and Procedures

Your profile
- Diploma/BE in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile
- 7 - 10 years of Experience in working with maintenance team for underground metal mining project.
- Servicing and overhauling of OHA
- Commissioning service for new machines.
- Workshop repairs and rebuilds on machines.
- Ability to use computer for administrative tasks
