Job Description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Summary/Objective
The mission of The maintenance In-Charge(MIC) is to oversee all plant maintenance activity to ensure policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. plan, track, monitor and enhance cylinder filling station maintenance activities as per Preventative Maintenance Plan. Oversee adherence to company Standards, safety and statutory guidelines with the objective of running smooth and efficient operations of CFS. In addition, He shall be representative for the Site Safety.

Key Responsibility Roles & Responsibilities


Health Safety & Environment


  • Report all deviations, unsafe behaviors, unsafe situations, near misses, and accidents, incidents in the defined incident report format to AL India Safety.


  • To ensure Zero Fatality & Zero accident at site.


 
  • To support CFS Manager in plant Safety permanence in line with Safety Score card & required actions for Improvement. 


 
  • Record all Act-In cards, Unsafe acts & conditions, incidents & accidents pertaining to plant in Incident Tracker.


 
  • To help CFS Manager in Investigation of RCA required incidents/accidents & closer of identified actions in time pertaining to the site with follow up concerned person In-charge.


 
  • To conduct Hazop study, JHA as per company requirement as & when required incoordination with CFS Manager & HSE.


 
  • To conduct /coordinate for all plant staff  Annual Fire Fighting, Hydrant System, First Aid & Safety training, etc. 


 
  • To maintain Site Emergency Response & Action Plan is reviewed & updated always incoordination with CFS Manager, PIC & HSE. 


 
  • To lead Weekly safety Talk, monthly Safety meeting & weekly Incident tracker meeting  & to take ownership to keep all meeting records & tracker files updated for the facility.


Plant Maintenance Management


  • Responsible for CFS Maintenance process is effectively implemented in line with GP-09, including:


    • Establish a maintenance strategy, covering notably the maintenance approach, organization and spare parts management,


    • Plan and execute maintenance tasks,


    • Manage critical spare parts,


    • Implement a process to allow the industrial operations to keep assets in a safe and environmentally compliant condition, aligned with business expectations.


  • Plant Maintenance Management inclusive of all plant equipments, lifting tools tackles including plant trucks.


  • To refer & follow  all Maintenance Guidelines & Standards and SOP’s & WI are being updated, reviewed & get approved from CFS Manager  time to time. Also to ensure all SOP, SSOP’s , WI’s & applicable JHA actions being followed on day to day activities from Operations reporting staff with respect to, MOC, Safety Compliances & applicable regulatory compliances.


  • To ensure all plant equipments Specifications, OEM manuals, OEM guidelines pertaining to maintenance are available, correct & updated from time to time.


  • To ensure Preventative Maintenance plan is available & updated always


  • To ensure all plant EIS’s are covered under PM plan. All EIS’s are marked as per company guidelines.To ensure EIS bypass & closer of EIS bypass in time, to avoid unsafe conditions during plant operation.


  • To ensure preventative maintenance of all equipments planned uniformly throughout the year. 


  • To ensure fulfilment of all KPI reports, monthly reports, SAIL & Technical meeting trackers updation & compliance of identified actions under his / her responsibilities.


  • Coordinate with the test shop team for maintenance related activities, in case of any issues. 


  • Review daily maintenance reports from the team and take corrective actions to resolve any issues. Review the maintenance plan and guide team to prioritise maintenance activity depending on criticality from Production & Distribution point of view


  • Analyse gaps and identify areas of improvement in maintenance processes. Drive process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, minimise cost and equipment maintenance.


  • To take care of plant “Safe Work Permit” process by maintaining SWP station well equipped ,raising the SWP as & when required .To maintain all required checklists for SWP & updations of required checklist & SWP for as & when required


  • To ensure review of at least 10% of SWP’s to be reviewed by CFS Managar & based on the review report, communicate to all SWP issuers for continuous improvement in SWP process.


  • To ensure available truck cranes, tail lifts & column lifts are covered under the PM plan in line with Regulatory requirements & their maintenance in time to be done cautiously.


  • To plan all plant & truck maintenance related activities well in advance with prior notice to PIC & DIC.


  • To take care of Maintenance Technician staff by monthly attendance reporting & leave management. 


  • To ensure availability of all required plant related spares are maintained properly. Reorder of all such items with PR-PO process in coordination with plant Store Incharge & Procurement.


  • To have capability to handle & overcome all plant maintenance related issues. 


  • To monitor plant maintenance costs, it should be in line with annual plant budget.


  • To drive cost saving , GAP savings & Time management initiatives at site.


  • To provide support  to conduct CSR activities at site driven by Organisation. 


  • To arrange motivational programs for plant staff in coordination with CFS Manager.


  • Close monitoring of plant Maintenance Over time. Target - ZERO OVER TIME.


Team Management


  • Report manpower requirement to CFS Manager in advance, if any.


  • Conduct goal setting and performance review for the team. Drive team development, engagement and reward initiatives.


  • Coach and mentor team members as required. Resolve people issues, if any.


  • Proper coordination with maintenance technician.

Competencies


  • Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering with 5 years of experience in CFS or any industry with experience in managing plant maintenance activities


  • Technical skills: Operational Excellence, Production, Quality and Safety Management


  • Behavioural skills: Process Orientation, Execution Focus, Customer Orientation, Analytical Skills, People Management


  • Coordination and controlling skills


  • Good communication & presentation skills


  • Statistical knowledge having experience of planning.


  • Good command on computer functions especially Excel ,Power point & Pivot table use & application
