Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, maintaining and executing functional, regression, integration and automation test plans, writing test code against software/application code, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day to day QA & Agile scrum activities, and contribute to the company’s performance and scalability of testing efforts and producing required artifacts for releasing the code the Production environment.
- Good at designing and executing test scenarios / test cases
- Enhance and extend test automation frameworks
- Identify SQA tasks during team sprint cycle, think about testing and automation strategies, estimate test efforts and implement automation for new features
- Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking
- Assist in the planning, creation and control of test environments and test data
- Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvement to eliminate redundancies in testing and improve efficiency
- Innovate in the best automation, Agile and continuous testing practices by trying new solutions and technologies on the market and recommending their use
- Experience in banking and financial services domain
- Experience in securities lending, asset reference data, pricing, collateral management will be a big plus
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years` experience in a Software Quality Assurance / Engineering role
- 7+ years` experience with Mainframe Functional testing (TSO/ISPF, CICS, VSAM, DB2)
- 5+ years` experience with SQL, DB2 and well versed with creating SQL Queries
- Experience working with mainframe testing tools/framework - such as IBM File Manager, SPUFI, File Compare
- Basic understand of the coding activities using COBOL, PL/1, REXX, VSAM, DB2, JCL and CICS
- Analyze business processes, procedures and policies and able document the test requirements
- Experience with open source tools and resources
- Knowledge of different test methodologies and their corresponding tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and should be able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to keep up to date with the constantly changing technology industry and willingness to learn and adapt
- Passion for testing, development, and design
- Experience with test automation frameworks, designing and automation skills is a ++
- Hands-on experience with writing automation test code and utilizing leading industry standard tools (UFT, IDEs, Terminal Emulators, Renorex/Selenium, Robotic Test Automation using Python/API Testing, SQL Skills) and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios is a ++
- Proficiency with automated testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End) is a ++
